ShameShopping is a shopping-list app with a sense of humor. This policy explains what information the app handles and where it goes. The short version: your lists are yours, there are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no data is ever sold or shared with third parties.
ShameShopping stores the content you create in the app: shopping lists, item names, quantities, notes, item categories, and your app settings (such as the narrator persona and harshness level). This data lives on your device.
If you are signed into iCloud, your lists are also stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service so they stay backed up and in sync. Data in your private iCloud database is controlled by Apple's iCloud terms and is not accessible to us.
When you share a list using a share code, that list's contents (its name and items) are uploaded to the app's shared CloudKit database so that other people who enter the code can view and edit the list. Please note:
To stop sharing a list's future changes, delete the list from your device. To request permanent deletion of a shared list's server record, contact us at the email below with the share code.
ShameShopping is rated 17+ because its optional narrator personas can use strong language. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
